Dr. Danny Gilchrist D.D.S.
began his
studies at Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He graduated
number one in his class with a perfect accumulated
grade point average of 4.0. He was accepted to the University
of Minnesota and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in
1985, graduating with distinction in the top ten of his class.Dr. Gilchrist moved to central Wisconsin in January 1986 and practiced as an associate in dental clinics in Plover, Wisconsin Rapids, Friendship and Auburndale. In December 1986, he had the opportunity to take over a practice from a retiring dentist, Dr. Art Fahrner. Steady business growth necessitated a move to the practices' current location, 2964 Church Street in 1996.
Dr. Gilchrist continues to enhance his skills with continuing education and the introduction of new technologies into the practice. He is involved in various community projects and activities. He has participated in health fairs and donated his time and services to various nonprofit organizations in the Stevens Point area.
Dr. Gilchrist and his wife Carla founded and manage the St. Therese Foundation, a nonprofit organization which raises money to help impoverished people in Africa. For more information about the St. Therese Foundation, visit www.sttheresefoundation.org.
Currently, Dr. Gilchrist is a member of the ADA (American Dental Association), WDA (Wisconsin Dental Association), CWDA (Central Wisconsin Dental Association) and the PCDA (Portage County Dental Society).
Our Dental Hygienist since 1996,
Stacy Roman RDH, completed her
dental hygiene education at Northcentral Technical College in
Wausau, Wisconsin graduating number one in her class. Prior to
obtaining her RDH degree, Stacy earned a Dental Assisting Degree at
Fox Valley Technical College which allowed her to obtain 5 years
dental assisting experience while she completed her RDH degree.
Stacy believes in working for a prevention oriented practice by
continually educating herself as well as educating her patients to
prevent oral hygiene issues. Stacy believes that being a
successful clinician is not a matter of chance, but rather a matter
of choice.Our dental team is made up of friendly, highly qualified people, many with 10-plus years of experience. They work hard to ensure that you feel comfortable and well cared for during your visits to our office. Our team members are always happy to answer your questions, so don't hesitate to ask!
